Never Touched Her
She was petite, with a bright smile and short brown hair. The prototype of practically every girl I would fall in love with from that time forward.

Deep Thoughts
I was listening to Zen and The Art of Motorcycle Maintenance the other day, and the narrative wandered into a section on theoretical mathematics.
Not Dead Yet
I check my blog daily, mostly to make sure it's still there. As such, I can't help but notice the steady retreat into history of my most recent post. Things, many things, continue to happen, but most fail to raise my pique to the point where I feel obliged to post about them. And that's still pretty much true right now.
Lambs For The Slaughter
This week, a lone gunman walked into an academic building filled with hundreds of college students and professors and, over the course of a half hour, methodically shot 30 people. He used two hand guns, sometimes putting as many as three bullets in each body. He calmly reloaded, presumably, dozens of times while terrified people all over the building hid where they could and wondered if the booms they heard reverberating through the halls would next come for them.
So let me point to the elephant in this room: How come all those people couldn't get together for a single decent bum-rush?
Vigilantes of Love: Blister Soul - 1995
I’ve long been fascinated by the character of Salieri, as depicted in the movie Amadeus. His defining characteristic was that his only real skill was in recognizing the genius of his betters, and I’ve long identified that. Despite having no real musical talent of my own, I believe that I have managed to stumble across quite a few treasures that the rest of the world has, in large part, ignored. And so, I unleash my long suppressed music critic with the first of (possibly) many “Salieri Sessions”. I give you “Blister Soul”.
Happy Memorial Day, Kid
Way back when Christ was a corporal, I put in some time working for my Uncle Sam. I was a ground pounder, a wind dummy, and a bullet catcher. It was hard work, but it was also great fun, and I made some of the best friends of my life. This is about a guy I barely knew.
