Laugh tracks. Don't like them.
Why the hell would I want to hear fake people clue me in on what parts of a sitcom are supposed to be funny? If it's funny, the giggling machinery in the background makes it less so. If it's not funny, it just makes it pathetic.
Movies don't have laugh tracks. M.A.S.H. the movie: no laugh track. M.A.S.H. on T.V.: a never ending flow of chuckling. Which do you think was actually funnier?
Laugh tracks are the up-turned collars of entertainment. If you have to try that hard to convince me, consider yourself unsuccessful.
