I'm sure every other nerd in the world knew this, but none of them posted it. I spent a good long time last night figuring out how to add a SATA hard drive (with an IDE adapter) to a PC already running an IDE HD. I played with jumper setting, cable order and such. None of that crap matters. The ancient Chinese secret is ... put them on separate cables. Hopefully I've just saved some dude's evening.
